A search result is not a recommendation

On a booking site, a traveller who wants “somewhere on the coast for three nights in March” gets a ranked list of everything with those nights free. The ranking belongs to the platform. Whether your place suits this particular traveller barely enters into it.

Airflow Guest works from the other end. The traveller has told us about their trip: the route, the dates, who is coming, what they care about. The planner’s job is to find the places that fit that trip.

How the matching works

When a traveller plans on Airflow Guest, the AI planner reads the trip as a whole:

  • The route. Where they are before and after this stop, so a place that makes sense for the journey comes before one that means doubling back.
  • The dates. Places are matched to the nights the traveller actually needs. Where you keep your calendar on Airflow, your booked and blocked nights are part of that match, and the planner moves a stay to nights you can take. Where you don’t, the traveller sends you an availability request and you answer.
  • The people and the taste. A family of five, a couple on a honeymoon and a group of divers want different things. What they tell the planner shapes what it suggests.

Your place comes up when it fits: the right part of the route, free on the right nights, suited to the people travelling. The traveller sees it inside their plan and can ask you about their dates in one tap.

What makes your place come up

The planner can only match what it knows about you. The more complete and accurate your listing, the better the match:

  1. Keep your availability current. Connect your calendar or channel manager, or keep your dates up to date on Airflow, so you are offered for nights you can actually take.
  2. Say what the place is for. Who it suits, what is nearby, what makes a stay there different. That is what the planner matches to the traveller.
  3. Rates and rooms. Travellers compare stays across a whole trip. Clear rates help them choose you.
  4. Answer requests quickly. A traveller planning a trip is deciding now. A fast answer turns a request into a booking.

You do not have to write it all yourself. When you start a listing, we complete it from your website and public information, and you check everything before it goes live.
