Send your bookings to the tools your team already uses
Add a web address from Zapier, Make, n8n or your own server. Airflow sends it a signed message each time a booking is created, changed or cancelled, or a payment is received.
What it does
You add a web address. When a booking in your account is created, changed or cancelled, Airflow sends a message to that address, usually within a minute. It covers every booking Airflow holds: those read from Airbnb, Booking.com and Vrbo emails, direct bookings from your booking page, and bookings you added by hand or imported.
Zapier, Make and n8n each give you such an address. From there the booking can go anywhere those tools reach: a Slack or Teams channel, a Trello or Asana board, an Airtable or Notion base, a text message, or software you wrote yourself.
When to use it
Airflow already writes your bookings to Google Sheets, drafts invoices in your accounting software, sends guest emails, runs cleaner checklists and fills your Google or Outlook calendar. Use those where they fit: there is nothing to set up in a second tool.
Connect out is for the other case. Your team already works in a tool Airflow does not connect to, and you want the booking to arrive there.
Changes and cancellations too
A message is sent when a booking is first confirmed, when its dates, guests or total change, and when it is cancelled. Each message carries the same booking reference, so your automation can find the task or record it made earlier and move it or remove it.
What a message contains
The event, your listing, the booking reference, the channel it came from, check-in and check-out dates, nights, the number of guests, the total, the payout and the status.
The guest's name, email and phone are left out unless you switch them on for that address. Once sent, the other system holds your guests' details.
The money lines, for accounting
Every booking message carries the money behind it: accommodation, cleaning fee, other fees, taxes, discounts, what the channel kept and your payout. A separate message is sent when a payment is received on a booking you collect yourself.
Airflow connects to Xero, QuickBooks, Sage and FreshBooks itself: use that where you can. For any other accounting system, these two messages are enough to raise an invoice in Zapier, Make or n8n and mark it paid. You set up that step in your own tool, and nothing comes back into Airflow.
Built to be trusted
Every message is signed, so your system can check it really came from Airflow. Addresses must use https. If your address does not answer, Airflow tries again over the following day, and Recent deliveries shows what was sent and what came back.
What it does not do
It is one way: Airflow sends, and does not accept instructions back. It cannot change anything on Airbnb, Booking.com or Vrbo. It sends four events: nothing is sent for a refund, a review or a guest message. Airbnb pays you outside Airflow, so an Airbnb payout is not a payment message.
What it costs
One automated task for each booking sent out, the first time it is delivered. Later changes to that booking, its cancellation, payments on it, further addresses and test events are free. See pricing for which plans include it.
Key benefits
Why Connect Out: Send Bookings to Zapier, Make, n8n or Your Own System matters
Every booking, from every channel
Airbnb, Booking.com and Vrbo bookings read from their emails, direct bookings and bookings you add yourself all send the same message.
Works with the tools you have
Zapier, Make and n8n accept the message as it is. So does any server that can receive a web request.
Guest details stay in unless you say
Names, emails and phone numbers are left out of every message until you switch them on for an address.
How it works
Connected in three steps
Copy an address from your tool
In Zapier use Webhooks with Catch Hook, in Make a Custom webhook, in n8n a Webhook node.
Add it in Airflow
Open Connections, choose the External automations tab and add the address. Choose which events to send.
Send a test
Press Send test event to see a sample booking arrive, then build your automation on its fields.
FAQ
Common questions about Connect Out: Send Bookings to Zapier, Make, n8n or Your Own System
Does this connect Airflow to my Airbnb account?
No. Airflow reads the confirmation emails Airbnb sends you and turns them into bookings. Connect out then tells your other systems about those bookings. Nothing signs in to Airbnb and nothing can be changed there.
Do I need to write code?
No. In Zapier, Make or n8n you copy a web address and paste it into Airflow. Checking the signature is optional and only needed if you run your own server.
Can my other system change a booking in Airflow?
No. Connect out sends messages one way.
What happens if my address is down?
Airflow tries again after 1 minute, 5 minutes, 30 minutes, 2 hours, 6 hours and 12 hours. An address that keeps failing is switched off and you are notified.
What does it cost?
One automated task for each booking sent out. Later changes to that booking, its cancellation and test events are free. See the pricing page for which plans include it.
